Chairman Jim Logothetis announced that the Executive Committee of Leadership 100, at the 32nd Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 1, 2023, approved 31 new and prior year grants, totaling $5,006,600.

The grants were recommended by the Grant Committee, Chaired by Justin Bozonelis. The prior year grants consist of installments of multi-year grants, as do several new grants. With distribution of grants in 2023, the total of grants distributed by Leadership 100 since its founding will reach $74,942,853.

There were 21 new grants totaling $2,591,200 with $2,262,700 to be distributed in 2023. Prior year grants approved for payment in 2023 total $2,415,400.

Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Departments

1. The Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries – $270,000 for Metropolis Camping Ministries.

4. The Department of Information Technology – $175,000 for Digital Transformation II.

6. The Department of Communications – $100,000 for Curating Archdiocesan Visual and Constituent Communications Channels.

7. The Office of Ionian Village – $100,000 for IV Next 2023.

14. The Direct Archdiocesan District – $250,000 ($131,500 in year 1 and $118,500 in year 2) for Addictions Ministry.

15. The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops – $120,000 ($60,000 per year over two years) pending successful progress reports for Connect Conference for Orthodox Young Adults – Integration with Orthodox Youth Ministries.

16. Project Mexico – $100,000 for Forming Orthodox Christian Evangelists.

17. The Hellenic College/Holy Cross – $100,000 for Master of Theological Studies (MTS) Online.

18. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago – $75,000 for the 2023 YAL Chicago Conference.

19. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco – $75,000 for the 2023 YAL Conference.

Other Institutions Not Affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese

20. The Sophia Inc New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation – $75,000 for Sophia Animated Series – “Learning Orthodoxy Can be Fun”.

21. Ancient Faith Radio – $50,000 for Ancient Faith Kids Division.

There were 10 prior year grants totaling $2,415,400 to be distributed in 2023.

Prior Year Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Departments

1. The Office of the Archbishop – $500,000 for the second-year payment of the $2,000,000 ($500,000 per year over four years) St. Michael’s Home Expansion Project.

2. Archdiocese Clergy Pension – $250,000 (total grant of $1,000,000 of which $750,000 has been paid, this is final payment).

3. The Office of Ionian Village – $300,000 for the final payment of the $500,000 two-year ($200,000 year 1, $300,000 year 2) Open IV.

4. The Small Parish Program – $140,000 for the second-year payments of $440,000 three-year grant.

5. The Chancellor’s Office – $80,000 for the final year payment of the two-year ($40,000 year 1, $80,000 year 2) Project Management Office – Young Adult Summer Internship Program.

6. The Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations – $60,000 for the final payment of the $120,00 two-year Outreach Program to African Americans.

7. The Office of the Archbishop – $30,000 toward the Clergy Leadership grant.

8. Hellenic College/Holy Cross Scholarship Program – $1,000,000.
