Leadership 100 will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of its founding at its 28th Annual Leadership 100 Conference, February 21-24, 2019, at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida. Leadership 100 was founded in 1984 by Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory and a small group of dedicated lay leaders. Beginning with a modest membership it has grown to 1,088 members today. Over the last three and a half decades, more than $51 million in grants has been disbursed to support the National Ministries and institutions of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, as well as Metropolis Ministries, other programs and projects that advance Orthodoxy and Hellenism, and humanitarian needs in the nation and around the world.

Featured speakers at the Celebration Conference include George Veras, the Sports Emmy-Award winning Chief Operating Officer of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Founder and President of Veras Communications, Inc., Stellene Volandes, Editor in Chief of Town and Country Magazine, and our own Chairman Emeritus George D. Behrakis who will moderate a panel of renowned medical specialists on the subject of “Health and Wellness: Improving our Quality of Life”.

The Opening Forum on Thursday, February 21, will feature one of the most prominent ministries of our Archdiocese, The Center for Family Care, whose remarkable work will be presented by its Director, Rev. Fr. Alexander Goussetis and Coordinator for Seminarian and Clergy Couple Care, Presvytera Kerry Pappas. The traditional Bible Study will be conducted by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Geron of America. The Health and Wellness Panel will follow the afternoon Luncheon. The program on Friday, February 22, will include the General Assembly, the Lecture by His Eminence, a Luncheon and Business Forum addressed by George Veras.

The Saturday, February 23 events will include a Brunch and Special Forum conducted by Stellene Volandes, Golf and Tennis Tournaments and Awards, and a Walk/Run event, culminating in the evening Black-Tie Grand Banquet at which the Archbishop lakovos Leadership 100 Award for Excellence will be presented. The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Sunday, February 24 at Saint Mark Church in Boca Raton.
