The citizens are not props for photoshoots, they need real support, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis stressed on Tuesday, in a statement criticising main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis and his assertion that the state was not supporting flood victims.
“Mr. Kasselakis continues to try to cover his political void with videos and communications shows. Since he visited Karditsa, it would be good for him to ask citizens whether the state was at their side after Ianos, as it is today. If he devoted a little more time he would find out,” Marinakis said.
He accused the main opposition leader of adopting the same tactics as his predecessor and said the government will continue to provide the support that people need, “trying to provide solutions to the citizens’ problems in a time of back-to-back imported crises.”
