The National Commission for Bioethics and Technoethics published its first official report on Wednesday related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications specifically for the Greek health sector.

The report is titled “New Opinion for the Applications of AI in Health in Greece” and examines the effect of developing and using AI apps in the health sector.

In a statement, the Commission said that “in this Opinion, the Commission maps out the ethical issues raised by AI applications, approaches them through a combined ethical and operational-procedural principles, and formulates documented and feasible proposals for the smooth integration of AI applications in the Greek system of health services provision.”
