Despina Chletcos-Lewis age 93 of Upper Darby, PA passed on December 14, 2016 surrounded by those who loved her.  Born and raised in Philadelphia the daughter of Panagiotis and Marianthe Chletcos.  Despina started playing piano at the tender age of 5 and continued until a few years ago.  She taught at Granoff School of Music at the Presser Building at 17th and Chestnut and the Hamilton School of Music on Spruce Street, both of Philadelphia.  Her music studio where she taught hundreds of students young and old was a staple in Upper Darby for over 50 years.

Most important was her devotion to her family.  She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years Frederick O. Lewis, her daughter Veronica Lewis-Crisp (Michael), sons Frederick O Lewis III (Doreen), and Jeffrey Lewis (Maureen) and 6 grandchildren Kirsten (Kevin), Marianne, William, Jeffrey, Matthew, and Ryan.  Adoring sister, Georgia Kokkolis of Alabama.

A viewing will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 229 Powell Lane in Upper Darby, Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10:00-11:00am, followed by a service from 11:00am.  Interment to follow immediately at West Laurel Hill Cemetery located at 225 Belmont Avenue Bala Cynwyd, Pa. 19004. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church or  St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 256 South 8th St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19107
