Labour and Social Affairs Minister Kostis Hatzidakis referred to the changes that have been made in the labour market and the interventions to remove any obstacles during his speech on Friday at the Olympia Forum III, organised by the Economic Forum of Delphi and the newspaper PATRIS.
In the panel in which he participated, analysing the data on unemployment, the minister underlined that in the last three years it has fallen by 5.1%. Specifically, it has fallen to 12.4 % this year from 17.5% in July 2019. He explained that this didn’t happen by chance, but was a result of the government’s overall economic policy.
“We continue with seriousness and work,” Hatzidakis noted. The Minister of Labour also said that the Greek economy is resilient in the face of the successive shocks from the pandemic and energy crisis, registering a significant increase in exports, investments and GDP.
