St. Demetrios of Perth Amboy Nameday Weekend Celebratio
Vespers were held on October 25th with His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos officiating and numerous clergy participating in the service. The Philoptochos hosted a reception following the service.
On October 26th following the Divine Liturgy a blessing of the St. Demetrios mosaic took place and a dedication of the newly installed passenger elevator took place.
The weekend festivities continued with a complementary buffet luncheon for everyone and a special presentation by parishioners Marina Corodemus and Stella Wacker on their recent trip to several monasteries in Albania with the The Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC). A very detailed, narrated slide show of their travels was featured and donations for the OCMC were accepted.
