NEW YORK – On February 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will be hosting an event focused on homelessness at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (337 E 74th St, New York, NY 10021). The event will feature a panel, including His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, Maria Logus, Esq., President of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society, Dr. Sam Tsemberis, the founder of Pathways Housing First, and James Carras, Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School. The panel will address homelessness in the world today and practical ways we, as Orthodox Christians, can take action to alleviate this crisis.

The panel will be followed by a Service Opportunities Fair. The fair will feature organizations – both sacred and secular – working on homelessness in the NYC metro area. The organizations will offer information on their services and opportunities for Orthodox Christian faithful to volunteer and get involved.

All are welcome! Please direct any questions to [email protected]

The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations and the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.
