A total of 60 buildings have been marked as ‘dangerous for use’ by authorities in the fire-struck cities of Saronikos, Loutraki-Perachora, Agii Theodori, Megara, and Mandra-Idyllia in Attica as of Thursday.

Specifically, 151 inspections of the General Secretariat for Restoration of Natural Catastrophes and State Aid in the municipalities, 60 buildings are uninhabitable, 48 are temporarily uninhabitable until repaired, and 43 are in need of minor repairs.

The inspections were carried out in homes and businesses as well as in storage areas and stables.

The statement by the Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Ministry noted it had received permission by the Fire Brigade to inspect the buildings, and that the initial inspection process had been largely completed in the above-mentioned municipalities.
