Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance spokesperson Popi Tsapanidou in an article to the Sunday newspaper VIMA explained why there is need for political change.
She said that “Greece is in the midst of political and economic turbulence that has a traumatic effect to the familiy budget, the every day life of the young people, the democratic institutions and to Justice itself”.
“We owe, with our vote, to return to the substantial European road, to the deepening of the democratic institutions and to the prosperity for all citizens, Tsapanidou said claiming that we are before a historic opportunity that is certain that will be achieved with the victory of SYRIZA-PA in the upcoming elections.
Sternly attacking ruling New Democracy she said, among others, that the Greek citizens have paid much more the energy crisis than in any other EU state member and accused the govenment on the way it handled the crisis that led to the tremendous increase in the elecricity bills, the weakening of the Health system “due to ideological obsessions”. She also spoke of a party of scandals and non-transparency at the expense of the citizens.
