The Governor of Thessaly is excited to announce that the Region of Thessaly will be exhibiting at the 33rd Annual Hermes Expo on June 19, 2024, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey. This participation underscores the region’s commitment to fostering strong connections with the Greek community in the USA and promoting the high-quality agricultural products of Thessaly.
The delegation from Thessaly will include:
– Dimitrios Tsetsilas, Vice-Regional Head of the Primary Sector and Rural Economy
– Dr. Dimitrios Stavridis, Director General of Agricultural Economy and Veterinary Medicine
– Dimitrios Sofologis, Regional Councillor and President of the Panhellenic Federation of Agricultural Associations
Despite the challenges faced by Thessaly in the past year, including the devastating effects of the storm, DANIEL, the region has remained resilient. The Governor, along with his dedicated staff, is working tirelessly to restore optimism and create conditions that ensure the safety, economic development, and well-being of Thessaly’s citizens.
“We are pleased to accept the invitation to participate in the Hermes Expo. This event provides a valuable platform to connect with the Greek community in the USA, showcase the quality products of the Thessalian agri-food sector, and establish communication and cooperation channels between Thessalian export companies and the distribution networks of Greek agricultural products in the US market,” said Governor Dimitris Kouretas.
The Hermes Expo is viewed as a vital link between Europe and the USA, offering an opportunity to enhance the outward-looking nature of the Region of Thessaly. The Governor aims to create contacts and mutually beneficial relationships with key players in the American economy and the esteemed representatives of the Greek diaspora.
Governor Kouretas expressed his gratitude for the invitation and congratulated the organizers for their continuous contribution to the Hellenism of the diaspora.
