Three successive quakes shook Heraklion, Crete on Monday afternoon. The strongest was recorded at 14:47 and measured 3.7 on the Richter scale. It was preceded by a quake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale at 14:38 and followed by a tremor measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale at 14:53. The epicentre of all three earthquakes was located east of Heraklion, at a focal depth of five to 22 km. No damage has been reported so far.
