Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias in an interview with CNN Greece presented the plan for the extension of the tourist season in Greece.
Kikilias said that tourism growth is a national issue and referred to the agreements signed with tourist organisations and tour operators to achieve this goal, but also to the growth dividend that tourism returns to society and the Greek family.
The Minister of Tourism underlined that the extension of the tourist season is a strategic goal of Greek tourism, through the support of winter destinations and the promotion of city break in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities, but also, as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has said, through the development of a new sustainable tourism model that will effectively address the environmental footprint. Tourism policy is also a priority in attracting new investment, strengthening infrastructure and maintaining quality and authenticity.
