Turkish fighter jets infringe Athens FIR on Friday, in first such incident since February

A pair of Turkish F-16s entered Athens FIR on Friday without having submitted a flight plan, said the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDG).

They were intercepted by Greek fighter jets, per international protocols.
The last time that Turkish military aircraft entered Athens FIR without having submitted a flight plan was on February 3, 2023, it was noted.
