“As a priority issue, I also consider the closer connection and contact of the Greek global community with Greece, especially in matters of entrepreneurship and development. I also intend to work passionately to strengthen Greek education in the diaspora, promoting the financing of relevant programs with European funds. I believe the connection with the expatriate community and the preservation of the cultural identity of the Europeans, who live and work outside its borders, must become a European priority. It is not only an obligation towards today’s expatriates and the generations that follow, but also an imperative if we desire a strong Europe and a strong Greece in the world. My goal is to strengthen the influence of the Greek diaspora in European political affairs, especially in matters concerning Greece and the Greeks in the world,” Niovi explains. “By leveraging the collective strength and expertise of the Greek American community, we can work together to address pressing issues and advocate for policies that benefit both Greece and its diaspora.”
