March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This first week we present the resilient women of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Amy Kalogeropoulos

Position: Director of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society

As a native of Worcester, MA, Amy has deep roots in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. With over 10 years of nonprofit management experience, she brings a wealth of expertise to her current role as Director of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society, a position she has held since April 2021. In this capacity, Amy collaborates closely with the Executuve Board, overseeing operations and programs with a keen eye for impact and sustainability.

Amy’s professional journey has been marked by a seamless intertwining of her professional and philanthropic paths. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Social & Rehabilitation Services from Assumption College in 2006, she laid a strong foundation in human services and rehabilitation studies. This educational background has equipped her with invaluable insights into community needs and effective strategies for addressing them, enhancing her effectiveness in nonprofit leadership.

In both my personal and professional endeavors, my Greek Orthodox upbringing serves as a guiding light, shaping my decisions and actions. It’s not just a part of who I am; it’s the foundation upon which I build my life. Whether navigating challenges in my career or celebrating achievements, my faith grounds me and infuses every accomplishment with purpose and meaning. It’s about using my talents and abilities to uplift others and make a positive impact in the world, reflecting the teachings of love and compassion.

In essence, my work and accomplishments are a testament to the all-encompassing influence of my Greek Orthodox upbringing, guiding me to live a life of purpose, integrity, and service to others.
