Dedicated to the inclusive recovery and development of tourism is today, World Tourism Day (Tourism for Inclusive Growth) and the Secretary General of the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), Zurab Pololikashvili, points out in his message that it is an opportunity to look beyond tourism statistics and recognize that, behind each number, there is one person.
UNWTO calls on its Member States and all stakeholders in tourism to celebrate the unique ability of tourism to ensure that no one is left behind as the world begins to open up and look to the future. World Tourism Day, which is celebrated every year on September 27, as it is emphasized, is the world day of celebration that raises awareness of the social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism and the contribution that the sector can make in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
