Danielle Kousoulis was working on the 104th floor of the North Tower at the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001, and lost her life that day when terrorists flew jet airliners into the buildings. The Danielle Kousoulis Memorial Scholarship Fund was formed to continue Danielle’s spirit of caring and generosity, and in 2002 celebrated its Inaugural Golf Outing. With help from sponsors and golfers, each year’s tournament has been an even greater success. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the scholarship fund, making it possible for us to keep the fund thriving, and in turn to keep Danielle’s memory alive.
Each year the scholarship fund awards academic scholarships to a Haddon Township (NJ) High School graduate (Danielle’s alma mater), and to a member of Danielle’s church, St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church (Cherry Hill, NJ).
Please consider joining us as a golfer or a sponsor. As time passes and we move further away from the events of September 11th, it becomes ever more important to ensure that Danielle and all of the other victims of that terrible tragedy are never forgotten. This annual golf outing represents a way to celebrate and remember Danielle’s beautiful life to assure that she is never forgotten. This year’s golf outing falls on Danielle’s birthday and represents a wonderful way to commemorate and celebrate Danielle’s beautiful life that was tragically cut short 15 years ago.
