Women’s entrepreneurship dominated the second international forum held on December 1-2, by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Chamber Network of Women Entrepreneurs, under the auspices of the Foreign Ministry, the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Athens.
Focusing on the economic climate, the inflationary pressures and the measures taken by the government in this direction, government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis invited the two speakers Marianna Hatzakou, member of the MEVGAL Board of Directors and Niki Giavroglou, CEO of Greek Fine Oils, to state their opinion on their effectiveness.
Hatzakou noted that all the actions that have been taken to reduce inflation have indeed had an impact. As she mentioned, the household basket has helped consumers a lot while the prices of many products are also decreasing. However, according to her, finding human resources continues to be a problem.
On her part, Giavroglou noted that the problem of finding human resources is significant and in this context opportunities are given to people with less experience than that required for specific jobs. Also, the company is in contact with universities looking for graduates or supporting the implementation of specialized industrial doctorates. In any case, the company tries by all means to attract human resources to meet its needs.
