The Greek government proposed on Monday that the European Union set up a support mechanism for European consumers over pricing due to the global energy crisis.
Greek Ministers of Finance Christos Staikouras and Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas sent a letter with the proposal to Eurogroup President Paschal Donohue, during Monday’s meeting of the Eurozone Finance Ministers, in Luxembourg.
Staikouras also spoke about the letter during the meeting, while Skrekas will do so during the Environment Ministers meeting on Wednesday.
