On Sunday, April 30th the parish of St George Clifton honored their retiring priest Rev. Fr. Peter Souritzidis with a testimonial luncheon. The event was held at the Cosmopolitan in Wayne, NJ.
Fr. Peter has served the community of St. George for the last 7 years.
Before that Fr. Peter served the parish of St Constantine & Helen in Orange and was instrumental in building the new Church in Roseland.
The Liberty Chapter #532 of Clifton presented Fr. Peter with the AHEPA Veterans Service Medal for his service as Chaplain, in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
He holds the rank of Major and is assigned to McGuire Air Force base.
On hand were over a dozen Ahepans from various chapters in the area including Liberty #532 of Clifton, Alexander Hamilton #54 of Paramus and Eagle Rock #375 of Roseland.
The women of Daughters of Penelope, Kronos #188 were on hand as well. Emcee for the afternoon was Athens Zambalis, Past President of Kronos #188.
