WASHINGTON, DC — American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis wrote to
President Donald J. Trump to thank him for inviting Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the White House for a visit, January 7. In the letter, President Larigakis contends the meeting presents an opportunity for President Trump to commit to ensuring Greece’s security and economic development, which are being threatened and challenged in a multitude of ways by Turkey.
“The U.S. must demonstrate strong, unequivocal support of Greece by continuing to strengthen relations across all sectors and by applying the rule of law to Turkey for its illegal actions,” concluded President Larigakis.
