Rural Development and Food Minister Lefteris Avgenakis is departing for Brussels on Sunday, in order to attend the EU Agriculture and Fisheries (Agrifish) Council on Monday, which will discuss changes to the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), among other issues.
The minister’s programme on Monday will include a meeting of agriculture and fisheries ministers of the European People’s Party (EPP). This will be followed by the regular Agrifish Council and then the second meeting of agriculture ministers of the EU MED-9 countries (Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Cyprus, Slovenia and Croatia).
On Tuesday, Avgenakis will join 60 agriculture ministers from countries throughout the world at a ministerial seminar on climate change the challenges for livestock health in Paris. The seminar will take place at the International Agricultural Show, in the presence of French Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Minister Marc Fesnau.
