It is with great satisfaction that Greece, for the first time in history, was accepted, together with Cyprus, as an observer at the Conference on Disarmament for the year 2022, a conference which is held in Geneva, according to diplomatic sources.
They noted that the request submitted by Greece was accepted by all 65 full members of the conference, including Turkey.
Li Song, President of the Conference and Permanent Representative of China to the Geneva-based international organisations, played an important role in achieving the unanimity.
