Finance Minister Christos Staikouras on Wednesday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue supporting society, households and enterprises for as long as is necessary in order to address the repercussions of the high prices in energy, in an interview with SKAI radio.
At the same time, referring to the support package that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will announce at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) in September, he said that the final decisions will be reached in early September after conditions in the economy have been taken evaluated.
He explained that the more fiscal space is allocated to support energy consumption, the fewer resources will be availabe for other support measures.
On the revenues from tourism, he said they have reached 95 pct of the 2019 revenues and will probably surpass them.
