The foreign ministry will participate in the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) with many events relating to economic diplomacy, in the presence of Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis and the General Secretary of International Economic Relations and External Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Dimitris Skalkos.
The Economic Diplomacy actions focus on the current challenges facing the economy and on Greece’s strategic ally, Germany, which is the honoured country at the 88th TIF and one of Greece’s leading trading partners but also one of the main countries of origin of Foreign Direct Investments in Greece, mainly in green development.
On the sidelines of the TIF, the 6th Meeting of the Extroversion Council will be held on, among other things, the priorities of the National Strategic Plan for Extroversion for the year 2025.
On Saturday, September 7, Fragogiannis and the German Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck, will be keynote speakers on the panel entitled “Greece-Germany Investment Success Stories” in a discussion that will explore the position of Greece as a privileged investment destination.
On Sunday, September 8, the investment seminar entitled “Unlocking opportunities: Greece’s & Germany’s investment landscape” will take place.
This will be followed by a presentation of Enterprise Greece’s new service “Export Helpdesk.”
On Monday, September 9, the panel titled “Navigating the Greek & German Markets: insights and opportunities” will be held followed by the event entitled “Astypalaia – Smart & Sustainable Island” with reference to the successful project of promoting Astypalaia as a model island for climate-neutral mobility.
