A significant increase is recorded in the registrations of electric vehicles, based on the data presented today by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in charge of Transport, Michalis Papadopoulos at the “Electric Vehicle Conference”.
Mr. Papadopoulos underlined that the promotion of e-mobility is a strategic choice of the current government, as evidenced by all the actions that have been taken, but also those that are being launched.
He referred to the results of the government initiative to accelerate the penetration of electricity. In particular, he noted the following: “Since last September, when the” I Move Electric “program began, there has been a rapid increase in the registrations of purely electric vehicles. Our register includes 4,474 purely electric vehicles, of which 2,256, ie more than half, have been registered this year, to date. Indicatively, last year, throughout 2020, 1,177 purely electric vehicles were registered and it is considered certain that by the end of the year, we will have a doubling of registrations compared to last year. “The total number may not seem large, but the strong momentum in favor of e-mobility and the response of citizens to the government initiative is indisputable.”
