State and Local Leaders Honor the Andy Family for their Contributions to the Community

CAPE MAY, NJ (October 24, 2019) –  The Andy family celebrated five decades of business in Cape May during a special ceremony at their iconic property, La Mer Beachfront Resort on Tuesday afternoon.  Jeffrey Vasser, the Executive Director of New Jersey Tourism, Cape May Mayor Clarence “Chuck” Lear, and a representative from Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s office addressed the crowd gathered at the property to mark the occasion.  Van Drew sent along a Congressional proclamation to honor the Andy family and their dedication to the South Jersey community and Mayor Lear also presented a proclamation on the behalf of the city.  A time capsule containing memorabilia, photos, and letters from long-time guests was on display during the event, and will be buried on property to later be unearthed For photos and captions from last night’s event, please click here.
