On Tuesday there will be an Art Exhibition of “Yiayia Tell Me Your Story” by artist Calliope Iconomacou which traces on fabric an artistic view on the story of Greek women’s immigration. We at EMBCA (East Mediterranean Business Culture Alliance) , which I head, support this exhibition and this artist’s work . The opening will be Tuesday February 9, 6:30 PM to 8 PM at the Greek Consulate at 69 East 79th St.. Calliope will be coming to New York from Greece today and will be at the exhibit opening.
The opening of the exhibition is by invitation only from Consulate General of Greece in New York and due to the capacity limits of the exhibit space of the consulate limited in terms of invites. As such, and since I am limited as to how many people I can invite, if you are interested in attending this wonderful opening as my guest please let me know ASAP so I can inform the consulate of your attendance.
