QUEENS, NY, October 30, 2019—On Wednesday, December 4, hundreds of Queens business leaders will gather at Terrace on the Park as the Queens Chamber of Commerce Hosts their annual Business Person of the Year Awards Dinner. Rick Cotton, Executive Director of The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey will be the evening’s Hall of Fame Honoree and Keynote Speaker. This year’s dinner will also honor Tyquana Henderson-Rivers, President and CEO of Connective Strategies Associates, Inc., Chris Xu, President of United Construction and Development Group Corp., and Alexandra Vassilaros, Executive Vice President of Vassilaros & Sons Coffee. A great friend and supporter of the Queens Chamber and business in Queens, Dimitrios “Jimmy” Kaloidis, philanthropist, entrepreneur and former owner of Terrace on the Park will be honored posthumously.
“Towards the end of each year, we like to look back and acknowledge some of the women and men who make Queens’ business community so special. It is our privilege to honor Rick Cotton, Tyquana Henderson-Rivers, Chris Xu, Alexandra Vassilaros and the late Jimmy Kaloidis at this year’s event. These individuals are not only extraordinary business people, they believe in doing well by doing good, and giving back. They may represent come from different industries and different walks of life, but they all represent the very best of Queens and contribute greatly to creating opportunity throughout the borough,” said Thomas J. Grech, President and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
