Greekrave was founded by Spiro, a New York City contractor and Chris, a Long Island diner veteran.
Their “avgolemono” soup is quite impressive, as well as their side order of Greek fries, and their Greek salad. Patrons can also make any dish a platter with a choice of savory add-ons, such as “soup of the day,” small Greek salad, double pita and French fries.
“The Real Greek” sandwich is worth more than just a passing glance since it is comprised of pork gyro stuffed in a warm pita, lettuce, tomato, onion, tzatziki, spicy feta (“tirokafteri”) and French fries.
Due to its elaborate menu, at Greekrave, there is always something new and different to try at each visit.
For children under the ages of 12, a “Kid’s Krave’s” menu is available, which features pita dog, gyro slider and “Koto boukies” (chicken breast tenders).
They have an array of traditional Greek desserts including baklava, rice pudding, as well as “galaktobureko,” which is custard in filo dough with honey syrup.
Their motto is as follows “Eat Greek, Live Long,” and rightfully so.
