The 13th Annual Race for Traditions to benefit Family Lives On Foundation (formerly Mommy’s Light) takes place on April 29, 2017, at Wellington Square in the Eagleview Town Center in Exton, Pennsylvania. This annual event joins together local families, corporations, schools, and community groups to celebrate the life and memory of loved ones lost too soon.
2017 marks 20 years of Family Lives On Foundation’s efforts to provide therapeutic assistance to children as they progress through the stages of grief. Founded in 1997, Family Lives On Foundation brings joy and comfort to children and teens whose parent has died by helping them keep alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mother or father. While there are many services for grieving children immediately following the death of a parent, Family Lives on Foundation is unique. The Tradition Program provides a continuum of services to our program children and families from the time they enter our program until they “graduate.”
The Race is more than just a 5K and 1 Mile run, it is a family event including games, music, free breakfast, special guests, a Tot Trot and much more! Jennaphr Frederick of FOX 29 brings her burst of morning energy and continues her longstanding support by serving as the Race Marshall. Congressman Ryan Costello will attend to present the race winners with medals.
Online registration is available at http://www.familyliveson.org/13th-annual-race-for-traditions/. Same day registration opens at 7:45am, the race will begin at 9:00 am and the activities will end around 11:00 am.
