Formally known as Reverend Father Alexander Karloutsos, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. A true servant of God, he exemplifies what it means to serve others, making it fitting to honor him while helping those in need. Father Alex follows in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, who teaches us the essence of giving without seeking honor, recognition, or expecting anything in return.
Father Alex is a blessing not only to Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, but also to Greek Orthodoxy. His service to Christ and His Church is incalculable.
