National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias is to travel to the United States of America, where he will have meetings with representatives of military, political and diaspora organisations.
More specifically, the minister will visit the Fort Sill military base in Oklahoma, which specialises in anti-aircraft air defence and the countering and neutralising of UAVs.
Dendias will then travel to Chicago, where he will have a meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago. He will also visit the “Korais” Diaspora School and will meet with the Secretary of State of Illinois, Alexi Giannoulias.
While in Chicago, the minister will deliver a speech at the award ceremony for David Harris, former CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), which is co-organised by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC). The event will take place at the National Hellenic Museum.
Dendias will also participate in a discussion organised by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, which will be moderated by the Executive Director of the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC), Endy Zemenides.
