Defense Minister Nikos Dendias met with the Illinois Secretary of State, Alexi Giannoulias, during his visit to Chicago, USA.
Giannoulias praised the Greek Defense Minister for his action and contribution throughout his tenure, initially as Minister of Foreign Affairs and later as Minister of Defense, in strengthening Greek-American relations.
They discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as the dynamic presence of the Greek diaspora with the aim of strengthening Athens-Washington relations.
