Queens, NY – On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the Andros Society of USA Inc., one of the most enduring and respected Greek American organizations, hosted its annual Nisiotiko Glendi at the iconic Terrace on the Park, celebrating 95 years of cultural preservation and community building.
True to its mission of keeping the spirit of Andros and the Cycladic islands alive, the Glendi was an emotional and joyful gathering that brought together islanders, friends, and families from across the tri-state area and beyond. The evening overflowed with laughter, music, dancing, and deep pride in Hellenic roots.
Founded in 1929, the Andros Society has long served as a beacon of unity, tradition, and cultural continuity for the Greek American community. This year’s Glendi was more than a celebration. It was a living expression of filotimo, philoxenia, and the strong bonds that tie generations of islanders together.
Attendees were treated to spirited live performances of nisiotika, traditional island folk music, paired with heartfelt dancing as young and old alike took to the dance floor in a shared tribute to their roots. Traditional attire, island delicacies, and warm camaraderie transported guests straight to the Aegean for one unforgettable night.
Held at the elegant Terrace on the Park, with its breathtaking views and gracious hospitality, the Glendi offered the perfect setting for islanders and philhellenes to reconnect, reflect, and rejoice.
