The UK-Greece Strategic Bilateral Framework signed between Greece and the United Kingdom in London on Monday “will open up new opportunities for trade and investment in both countries,” said UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss after her meeting with Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias.
The agreement will also “enable better cooperation between businesses, investors and industry, and builds on strong security and defence cooperation as we seek to challenge malign actors that threaten to disrupt our freedoms and way of life,” she added.
The Framework will build on the strong existing relationship between the UK and Greece, added the Foreign Office, enabling individual deals in the sectors of foreign policy, defence, trade and investment, health, education, tourism and maritime affairs.
