Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis is visiting the Greek minority communities in Albania as a representative of the Greek government for the anniversary of the national holiday of October 28, 1940 (Ochi Day).
In a tweet describing his visit at Bularat (known as Vouliarates in Greek), Katsaniotis expressed joy at meeting Greeks who retain their links to Greece, and said he was “moved and proud to be walking on the earth soaked with the blood of our ancestors who died defending the country.”
The minister also paid a visit to the Health Center of Dervician (Dervitsani), where he spoke with staff and members of the Greek community. “We delivered part of the health supplies the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collected with the help of the Ministry of Health,” he said in a tweet.
