British illusionist James More chatted with Digital Journal about his recent promotion to Member of the Inner Magic Circle (MIMC), as well as fellow magician Jamie Raven.

More found out the good news via a surprise phone call from the president of The Magic Circle, where the committee had awarded him membership to the inner magic circle with gold star. This is highest degree achievable and it is exclusive to only 300 members worldwide. “That was very cool,” he said. “It is an exclusive club for magicians. It is limited to 300 magicians only, at one time. It is quite exciting for me, since I am one of the youngest to ever receive it.”

Thanks for reading Hellenic News of America

He added, “This is big news in the magic world. That was very unexpected to be given this honor at a young age. It is quite a privilege and very cool. You would apply for The Magic Circle if you are a magician, and you can take entry when you pass the exam. There are different levels within that Magic Circle. Within the world of magic, you would have to earn the right to be within that 300.”

His Britain’s Got Talent audition video has accumulated well over 46 million views, which is very flattering for More. “Those are crazy numbers and they blow my mind. It is insane,” he exclaimed.

More had nothing but the greatest remarks for fellow friend and magician Jamie Raven. “Jamie is doing brilliantly. I saw him recently, and his YouTube video went viral. It was shared by a number of famous people in the United States. He got massive views, and that is great news for him and great news for magic,” he said. “I wish him the best. I think he will do very well. Everything has been good and positive for him. He is a genuinely good person and he does a lot of charity work for a children’s hospital and that is a commendable thing. He is not doing this for the fame and the glory, he is doing it because he is passionate about his craft.”

He shared that his Illusionists 2.0 tour in Australia was a “blast,” and he had an incredible time. “It is always very cool to be amongst those guys, because we are like a little family. I have been doing it for a little over a year, and it is great to see everybody. We had a really good time,” he said.
