Letter to the Editor:
Dear Aphrodite:
In a recent issue, you published an interview with me. I expected I might hear from some nearby family and friends after the publication. However, I was surprised by how far a reach Hellenic News of America has in the Greek community. I received many positive messages from across the country, Canada, Greece and even a political friend in Australia!
It made me realize how much people in the Greek American community, and beyond, thirst for news related to Greece and those of Greek heritage. I know it gives me pride to read about the accomplishments of Greeks whether they be in business, government, the arts, medicine or philanthropy, just to name a few arenas. Without publications like yours, we would likely not hear about many of the achievements, awards, innovations, or other contributions of our fellow Greeks. And, that would be a shame.
Thank you for shining a light on the Greek community. As they say, information is power. Not only does Hellenic News of America inform us on issues, but it strengthens the bonds of our community. And, that is exactly what our community needs.
Keep up the great work!
