Letter to the Editor
Aphrodite Kotrotsios
Dear Editor:
I just had the opportunity to read the excellent article of journalist Cathy Tsounis about our distinguished educator and former Head of the William Spyropoulos School in Flushing New York, Mrs. Athina Kromidas.
The reading of this article afforded me the opportunity to “explore” further the electronic form of our beloved Hellenic News of America that informs, educates, and unites our Omogeneia for over 33 years! I also took the opportunity to watch your father’s interview with ERT3 in Greece on the coronavirus. That was another aspect of your paper’s service to unite Greece with our Omogeneia and keep the information flowing to both sides of the Atlantic.
A further look at the many other features that your electronic form presents to its readers convinced me of the very important role that your paper plays in various aspects of our life in the USA. Thus I saw articles on our Community, on Greece, on Food and Travel, on Economics, and also a list of Charities that serve our Community and Greece and have contributed so much during the last five critical years.
For all the above I wish to express my heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS for your valiant efforts to provide our Omogeneia with objective information in both English and Greek and connect the many faces and facets of our communities here and in other parts of the world as well as Greece.
