Members of Chapter Oinoe #14 of the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood gathered at Staples Center on Tuesday, March 27th to cheer on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks as they took on the Los Angeles Clippers. Along with approximately 300 other fans of the greater LA diaspora, Greek (and Nigerian) flags waved proudly as Giannis wowed the crowd with his impressive skills. Although not officially a Greek-American Heritage Night, it could have easily been with the number of Giannis fans in the house. After the game, some were lucky enough to meet the player and share their pride for Greece with him. The Pan Icarian Brotherhood is the oldest Greek-American organization in the United States and currently has 28 chapters around the country and Canada. Their mission is to connect Ikarians living in the U.S. and Canada and to provide support to the island of Ikaria and to others in need.
