The Hellenic Parliament, for the sixth consecutive year, is funding schools that hosting refugee education support structures for the sixth consecutive year.
According to a relevant statement: “The Parliament, with a sense of responsibility and deep solidarity, stands by the work of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs to ensure equal rights and opportunities for the education of refugee children who have been uprooted from their countries.”
As noted in the same statement, the Parliament in recent years has consistently supported the work of the Ministry of Education, as it has contributed to the operation of hundreds of refugee support and education facilities by funding additional costs, both for heating and cleaning, created in the school units that host refugee children during the evening hours.
The amount expected to be allocated this year to cover these needs amounts to 125,468.50 euros.
