For over four decades, Leadership 100 has been the backbone of Greek Orthodox ministries in America. With over 1,365 members—and 72 new members joining this year—the organization continues to transform financial resources into impactful ministries that sustain the Church.
At a recent gathering, Executive Director Paulette Poulos underscored the organization’s mission, emphasizing that Leadership 100 has provided $78 million in funding—all from interest, never touching the capital—to support youth initiatives, clergy development, religious education, and national ministries.
A Commitment to Youth and Clergy
One of the major priorities of Leadership 100 is ensuring that every metropolis has a dedicated youth director. “If we want the future of Orthodoxy to thrive, we must invest in our youth,” Poulos stated. The organization has funded programs that engage thousands of young people, ensuring they remain connected to their faith.
Additionally, Leadership 100 has made significant contributions to Hellenic College Holy Cross, ensuring that seminarians receive the necessary training and resources. Poulos recalled the powerful words of Archbishop Iakovos, who insisted that the seminary chapel remain a central place for prayer and remembrance.
Strengthening National Ministries
The organization has also been a major force in expanding Greek education, religious studies, and interfaith outreach. Leadership 100’s rigorous grant review process ensures that every dollar is allocated effectively, helping ministries across every metropolis function at their highest capacity.
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros has been instrumental in guiding the organization’s vision, emphasizing one church, one archdiocese. “Leadership 100 is not just a fundraising effort—it is a movement that ensures our faith is strong for future generations,” Poulos affirmed.
As the organization looks ahead, it remains committed to expanding its membership, increasing financial contributions, and strengthening the national presence of the Greek Orthodox Church in America.
