Alec Economakis to Receive Sons of Pericles Centennial Leadership Award at the 34th Hermes Expo Awards Dinner Gala

The 34th Annual Hermes Expo is honored to present the Sons of Pericles Centennial Leadership Award to Alec Economakis at the Awards Dinner Gala on June 25, 2025, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Alec Economakis, the current Supreme President of the Sons of Pericles, has been a remarkable leader and philanthropist within the Greek-American community. With over two decades of dedication to AHEPA and the Sons of Pericles, Alec has led fundraising efforts that raised over $100,000 for national charitable projects, including the Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Miracle Network, JED Foundation, and Boys & Girls Club of America.

As a second-term Supreme President, Alec has expanded membership and spearheaded the SOP 100 campaign, celebrating the Sons of Pericles’ Centennial Anniversary in 2026. His leadership inspires future generations of Greek-American youth, empowering them to participate in community-driven initiatives and charitable activities.

In addition to his work within AHEPA, Alec actively serves his local parish, Saint Sophia Cathedral, where he works with GOYA and coaches the GOYA Boys B Team. He serves as an outstanding role model for young Greek-American leaders, encouraging them to make a positive impact on their communities and churches.
