The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at the World Trade Center invites you to join its heartfelt Feed the Hungry outreach this Sunday, October 19, for an evening of compassion, community, and service in New York City.
From 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, volunteers will gather on the third floor of St. Nicholas Shrine to prepare and pack warm meals for distribution across the city. Once the meals are ready, the team will head out at 7:30 PM to deliver food directly to those in need, bringing comfort, nourishment, and human connection to our most vulnerable neighbors.
Volunteers and drivers are needed! If you have a car, your help with distribution is invaluable to ensure meals reach as many people as possible.
This monthly initiative continues to grow thanks to the generosity of parishioners, volunteers, and donors who embody the mission of the Shrine, to serve others through faith, love, and action.
“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in.” — Matthew 25:35
