Five renowned artists from Greece, Germany, Holland, Italy, Canada will create their own sculptures at the Outdoor Museum of Contemporary Art in Lake Plastira from September 15 to October 10, 2024, contributing substantially to the Museum’s artistic development.
The financing of the 1st International Sculpture Symposium has been undertaken by the German Government, which responded to a request from the Municipality of Limni Plastira of the Karditsa Regional Unit, and amounts to 50,000 euros.
The approval is a continuation of the Consul General’s visit to Morfovouni, in August 2023, on the occasion of the event organized by the Municipality for the 80th anniversary of the burning of the villages in the area by the Italian and German invaders in 1943.
It is worth noting that the creation of the Outdoor Museum of Contemporary Art and the artistic development takes place under special conditions, so that in the end the specific museum constitutes an innovative environmental and artistic project.
