Bayside – On Dec. 27, Digital Journal was afforded the privilege to dine at Kalamaki GR in Bayside, New York, and it was an excellent Greek restaurant.
Particularly impressive about Kalamaki GR is that it has a modern approach to the Greek cuisine and the Mediterranean diet. The owner and staff are highly professional and attentive to their patrons. They make one’s dining experience extremely pleasant, comfortable and fulfilling.
At each visit, there is always something new and different to try, due to its elaborate menu listings. Kalamaki GR is ideal for the entire family and fitting for parties, catering and take out. The way they present their meals is exceptional, distinct and creative.

Their most popular dishes include gyros, salads, shrimp skewers, as well as their Greek style hamburgers (“bifteki”); moreover, their hummus is absolutely outstanding. For dessert, they have a wide spectrum of yogurts, which include the savory hazelnut and pineapple yogurt and their “smores” yogurt, which consists of marshmallows, chocolate and Graham crackers.
The VerdictOverall, Kalamaki GR is outstanding in every way. It is worth well more than just a passing glance, and it is highly recommended for fans of the Greek cuisine. Their cuisine is authentic and made with the freshest and high-quality ingredients. It has been named “Best Greek Restaurant” and “Best Gyro” by the “Best of The Boro” awards, and rightfully so. Patrons will feel as if they were dining at an elegant restaurant in a Greek island. It earns 5 out of 5 stars.
