Study in Greece, the official Greek agency aiming at the internationalisation of Greece’s higher education, participated with 12 universities at the annual conference and exhibition of the “European Association for International Education” that was held in Toulouse, France.
The Greek presence in the exhibition was the first in the 35 years of the institution and was represented by: The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Economic University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Patras, the University of Crete, the Technical University of Crete, the Democritus University of Thrace, the University of Thessaly, the University of Western Macedonia, the International Hellenic University, the Hellenic University of the Mediterranean and the Harokopio University.
The exhibition was held in the period 17-20 September 2024, with the participation of over 7,000 professionals in higher education from all over the world.
The Greek representatives, according to Study In Greece, had the opportunity “to participate in productive meetings and explore cooperation opportunities with universities from various countries, focusing on the creation of international degrees, student exchange programmes and joint research.” In addition, they came into contact with the latest trends in transnational education, while at the same time, they offered information about academic and research programmes and student life in Greece.
According to Athens-Macedonian News Agency sources, the next moves by Study in Greece to promote Greek universities and attract students from abroad are expected to target the Balkan region, as well as India.
