Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis met on Wednesday at his office with US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis on collaboration related to justice issues.
Also attending the meeting were Deputy Justice Minister Ioannis Bougas, members of the ministry’s special legal service, and US embassy diplomats.
In the context of the meeting, “which was held in a very cordial climate,” as a ministry statement said, what was underlined was “once again the excellent collaboration of the two countries in terms of justice, and the desire was also expressed for further deepening of relations between the two states.”
At the same time, Ambassador Tsunis made special reference to the important reform work taking place in the sector of justice and stated that the US ministry of justice could contribute in ideas and best practices on issues which Greece believes it needs this collaboration.”
Floridis thanked Tsunis for their collaboration so far, which was “particularly positive”.
